As a more proper end of year post, a reflection of what music I was actually listening to, as it mostly wasn't (sometimes though) on Spotify to get in their compilations:

• mostly "Telephone Wire" but also "Ring of Keys" and the final songs after "Telephone Wire" ("Edge of the World", whatever the finale is called) from Fun Home
• Tallahassee (the Mountain Goats); still not over it
• revival of Heavy Horses and Stormwatch upon purchasing then (both Jethro Tull)
• Picaresque (the Decemberists)
• How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful (Florence + the Machine)
• none too specific foray into Dorian Electra (such a queer vibe! I kinda love their characters, even the sleezy ones)
• [I buy Aims (Vienna Teng), some Russian music, and the whole discography of This Is Deer Country on bandcamp Friday December]
• eve (Over the Rhine), only really seriously *this week*. this album came out the year I was born.

Somehow that date up there just seems bizarrely large or late or something. I was shocked to realize a couple weeks back that my mom is going into the season for 2020 Tax returns...
