I was listening to The Cereal Bowl podcast (with Justin McElroy) last night in hopes of it sending me off to sleep but uh... I ended up reading the co-host, Dan Goubert's Cerealously blog instead.
It's very interesting reading, but I am pretty certain from scattered references to familiar cereals which I do enjoy that our tastes in cereal differ. Like, I like soggy cereal in at least some cases.
*= it has been a long time since I ate this so I'm less sure of this ranking relative to the unmarked ones.
My top tier favorite cereals, that I'll accept almost any time, in no particular order:
Other good ones:
Acceptable, as in, I'm willing to eat them, but I'm won't swear that I like them:

My top tier favorite cereals, that I'll accept almost any time, in no particular order:
- Rice Krispies. (yes. just regular rice krispies)
- Kellogg's* Raisin Bran (I'm ...not sure I've had non Kellogg's raisin bran o.O )
- Grape-Nuts, with a small spoonful of sugar on top (and for some reason I associate them with grapefruit? maybe just cause the sugar was in common as a child, or/and maybe the "grape" part of their name)
- Honey-Nut Cheerios - excellent cereal milk
- plain Cheerios, which are one of the only cereals i can just... comfortably eat dry (I overload on uncomplicated sugar pretty easily)
- cocoa pebbles and/or probably cocoa krispies and also cocoa dyno-bytes
- ? i'm not thinking of any others
Other good ones:
- Fruity Pebbles/fruity dyno-bytes
- Trix
- *Kashi Black Currant Walnut (discontinued! :( )
- *Kashi Cinnamon Harvest
- *? Kashi Heart to Heart Honey Oat Cereal (but I read something such that it may have been reformulated since I had it)
- Trader Joe's Mango-O's
- Dulce de Leche Cheerios (gone but fondly remembered)
- * Corn Pops
- * Honey Smacks, I think
- Puffed millet, wheat, corn, rice (mostly because they feel more snack-ish than cereal-like to me)
- Honey grahams (pref. from Meijer) in milk
- plain popped popcorn with a spoonful of sugar in milk.
- *regular Froot Loops
- Apple-Cinnamon, Frosted, Maple, Multi-grain, *Chocolate Peanut butter(?), or Fruity Cheerios
- probably most plain chex? I haven't had the flavored chex. Also Crispex
- *? Cracklin' Oat Bran (I suspect it has undergone a reformulation since I last ate it)
- Total/Wheaties, etc.
- tbc, maybe?
Acceptable, as in, I'm willing to eat them, but I'm won't swear that I like them:
- Lucky Charms
- Golden Grahams
- French Toast Crunch
- Cinnamon Toast Crunch
- Frosted Mini Wheats and Frosted Mini-Wheats Little Bites Chocolate and big Shredded Wheat biscuits (it's a textural thing)
- Reese's Puffs
- *Cocoa Puffs
- *Apple Jacks
- Kix? (I've *mostly* had these in a snack mix recipe, but they're not revolting)
- Frosted Flakes
- Corn Flakes
- ...
